Thanks for posting the link My friend was telling me about the spoonbills, I would like to catch one of those bad boys. I'm heading out there in a couple of weeks to visit my sister and possibly wet a line with my friend.

I just ordered the plans for my GF14 to be built before I leave the Keys in September. Perhaps when some of you pros (builders and maybe even designers!) come down for the meet, you can stop in and give me a quick check up on my progress and offer tips, advice, etc. Who knows, I may make enough progress to have it flipped onto a trailer and sturdy enough to drag up the road to come show it off by then!

The full moon is June 4. We are due in on the 6th. What are your plans?

I dont have any plans yet, just depends who we have coming with us. So long as the weather permits, I plan to do the full moon trip at least the night of the 3rd. maybe next two nights if the bite is on. 3 nights of snapper limits will go a long way to filling the cooler

Wish I could, but we won't be there until the 7th. Got 10 days to work on filling the freezer after that Last year we brought home a 50 quart cooler packed with clean fillets. I've been thinking about buying a small chest freezer and putting it in the back of the truck with a power inverter.

Glad I'm not the only overly excited person about this trip. I have amassed a bunch of bass pro shops cards, and I am planning on taking a stop on the drive down from Miami. I'll probably grab a good rod/reel combo and some other tid bits. If anyone needs anything I can probably grab it.

I'm getting more and more exited everyday about this trip If you stop at bass pro take the one in Ft. Lauderdale it's a nice big store, great restaurant and there's also a quite interesting fishing museum on the site.

Great tip Richard (Aripeka Angler) emailed me so I thought I share, this shop has about the same setup and size as Lauderdale, and is I think even more on our way as the Lauderdale one,Thanks Richard, I for sure will make a stop overthere
