Panga 22/25

I am sure this has been asked but I can't seem to find it in a search. Has anyone built a Panga with a side console? Would it be relatively easy? The boat will be a one man operation for eel pots and trout line in the Chesapeake bay. The driver needs to reach over the side from the drivers seat. He ...

Re: Stretching the TW28

I know it will be engineered on the fly but i don't know how you are going to cut a piece out of a curve and keep the curve arc while lengthening it. Try it on a model, it is tougher than you think.

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

good advice. He is not a friend but a customer. This is not my first paying epoxy job but for sure the most damage. I posted here because I don't want to forget a detail. Thanks for all the input.

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

my intention is to remove the floor and patch both inside and out. I hope when I remove the sole I will be able to see unpainted glass and will be able to see other cracks better. If once I get it apart I don't feel like I can safely repair the hole I will walk away.

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

the closest frame in either direction is about four feet. The floor appears to be acting like a brace. it attaches about half way up either side of the V hull and is fully glassed. Not exact measurements but lets say the boat has a ten foot beam and the floor is 5 ft wide and attached to the hull. T...

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

There doesn't seem to be any support structure in this area inside.
I can't image a sling from a travel lift just cutting through I am sure this is from an impact.
Now that you mention it i didn't see a single boat shrink wrapped :)

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

The marina owner is adamant that they did nothing wrong. They say they picked it up with the straps and it just crushed on the toughest part of the boat. There is also a smaller crack further back on the keel. It looks like to me that they picked the boat up off the blocks and the strap slid off the...

Re: Crushed hull needs repair

When I was questioning if I should get involved I wasn't questioning my ability to fix it but the expense of repairing a badly damaged 25 year old hull The reason I was gonna throw that piece out is that it is fractured not a clean cut so the strength of the piece is questionable. so it can be consi...
