Re: Anyone Fishing?

A buddy and me had a productive fishing trip Saturday. We caught some fresh bait at the ramp with a cast net, went north to the flats and put out 14 jugs. Caught 10 good eatin' cats, 9 on the first run. Man I love free bait! http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/22004/normal_Catfish_Sept_2011.j...

Cedar Strip Canoe Repair

A friend found this old canoe next to a burn pile!!!!!! It was designed and built by a man years ago. I think story has it that it was given to a relative and it sat upside down on the ground for years which resulted in the ends rotting. It's 15 1/2 ' long, 32" wide with 13" of freeboard. It's glass...

Re: Macs' Carolina Dory Splashed

This is the first time I've seen our boat in the water from the bank at any distance. Mrs. Macs is pulling her around to the fuel pump. First time she's been in it buy herself, except to load it once or twice.

Re: Cracker Larry's OD 18

Glad to see ya'll back home safe. I agree, it sounds like a wonderfull trip. I actually caught a few catfish this weekend. Caught the bait with a cast net, went out juggin and caught 6 or so, kept 4 to fry. Hell I'm thinking I'm almost a fisherman.

Re: Macs' Carolina Dory Splashed

She is about 500 pounds heavier than my boat, motor and trailer together
I knew she'd be heavier with all that 3/4" ply. and you've got a lot of toys on yours that I don't have CL.

Re: Macs' Carolina Dory Splashed

I finally weighed her today. Boat, motor and trailer ...........2300 lbs. 8O I thought it was going to be much heavier. Had normal gear and about 8 gallons of fuel. Not sure what the trailer weighs. How does that compare to some of the od18's out there. CL, Craig, Larry B, Cotton Top?????????

Re: Curacao CS 25

Looking good Peter. I agree, I like that layout better also. Looks like your going to have plenty of room to get around the console. I have a friend with a 25' Baja Sportfish CC and it's a little tight getting around that big console in that boat.

KS8 - that's some mighty fine looking work there.
