John I built the ph-22 two years ago ( the light green one in the gallery ). If it were me I would keep the stringers even at the sole line and allow the gaps at the bottom of the hull. I beleive it was listed on my plans not to have hard points at the stringer/hull bottom connection (gaps are good ...

I agree with Stefan on the twin engine; I beleive that would also reduce draft ? Check these out http://www.mirage-mfg.com/html/n37.html
We got a tour on one last year at the Trawler Fest in Stewart Fl., and you would not beleive the room on these. Just an idea!

Thanks Joel, yes reverse is a bear (little control of direction if any). I lanch at some very tight ramps (narrow canals) and have a heck of a time loading and manuvering around. What size skeg would you recomend? I am willing to sacrifice draft (it draws only 8" now!!). By the way what a great boat...

Dan thanks for the reply. I am not having a problem loading on the trailor but geting the boat straight coming up on the trailor. It also tends to slide when cornering while on plane. I thought that adding a skeg would help.

PH-22 skeg?

Jacques, I am having a problem with directional stabilty. In anything other than a calm day I am having a problem loading my boat on the trailor. The boat drifts or slides with the slightest crosswind and makes loading hard. It also tends to slide cornering at cruse speed. I installed strakes when I...

The boat is everything its advertized, floats in 8.5" of water, very stable and very fast (225 Suzuki 2 stroke- only becuase i got a good deal on it). If you pro...

System 3 paint vs interlux

Is there a much of a differance in durability and adbrasion resistance between system 3 lpu and interlux interthane paints? I like the idea of water based system, however I have personaly seen the quality and lasting ability of interthane.

Thank for any info Steve F.
