Larger VG

I know a larger VG would probable not generate the sales need to to justify the design . So over the years I have looked at scaling the VG26 by 10% . Looking at what went into the design I think it started as a VG27 and then scaled down . If I am right standing head room was a trade off when it came...

Re: An All-Season Trailerable Sailboat

While the 30' sailboat has been brought up could you either rethink finishing the one you started , or may be look at the pluses and minuses involved in turning the VG26 into a VG 30 or close to it ? I know one builder put a stright shaft inboard into a VG26 , but I think it was electric . I don't w...

Re: V G 26

Years back when I looked at the VG26 for a retirement boat I think the 10% mark was the limit . A 30' VG 26 will make me rethink my build plans . I will be building in foam , so adding frames is not an issue . Thanks

Re: Rub Rail HMD19

On our work boats rubber rub rails tends to get nicked , or once in awhile ripped off. I would think wood would be about the same , except for harder knocks that result in chunks ,or compression spots in the wood .

Re: CAT22 Sailboat?

Evan are you still working on the cat design ? And if you have hulls only designed can they be used for a de-mountable cat with pod ? Rick

Would it be a better choice for a large bulkhead in place of H80 ?

Cracker Larry's opinion

Richard Woods proposed motor sailor looks to be about the perfect boat for my needs , but I would like to have Larry,s take on it as far as my intended use's . Also just to bring the design out in the open some as I think it is a good compromise on many of the designs proposed over the years on thes...
