The newer motors go up to 40hp and above with performance mods of the engines, so some increase power options are available.
Take a look at mudbuddy.com if you would like to see the motors, they are kind of interesting.

Thanks for the input, Shine. I guess to carry the load, I'm going to have to go with a boat in the 18" range. Do you have any idea if the surface drive would work with the Texas Sled and get it traveling through the shallower water?

Just FYI and for the information of other users of Macs, The Safari web browser(the latest version) did not play well at all with the web site.
