Re: FS17 in Steinhatchee

Fallguy1000 The under gunnel lights are alternating blue led and white led, about 5 each side and one white one in the rear compartments and one white in the forward compartment. I have one oznium underwater led light on the right side of the transom and I think it is green. I have another underwate...

Re: FS17 in Steinhatchee

Hi all, Yeah the one year anniversary of when I started on this project was 2 weeks ago. Took 4 or 5 months off during the winter for a variety of reasons. I can not seem to work every day on it as I get side tracked with projects around the house, fixing and building chainsaws, my guns, shooting an...

Re: FS17 in Steinhatchee

Hi all, I get trevara from my boat builder buddy Mike Vernese who builds boats in Perry. He has been in the boat building business for a long time and he builds quality custom boats with vinyl ester, kevlar and other neat stuff. His son Michael runs Big Bend Outfitters and the phone number is 850-58...

Re: Steve's FS18

Hi Steve, I bought one of those labeling machines which uses labels which you can stick on wiring. It is a Rhino 5200. You can buy different width labels and even heat shrink material to print on. I have a bunch more labels to print out and have yet to try the heat shrink tubing labels. So far the s...

Re: FS17 in Steinhatchee

Hi all, Got some stuff done since last update. Had oldest grandson and son in law help me lift the console into the boat a couple of weeks ago. Now it looks like something and I can see how big the interior of this puppy really is. Plenty of space between console and gunnels for a 5 gallon bucket an...

Re: 1995 Yamaha 15 tiller, good, bad?

Bob, They are great little motors and this is what I have on my FS14 and after sitting for 1-1/2 years she started right up and ran good. I bought mine about 7 years ago from Craigslist over in Alachua which was over an hour away. I think I paid 1000 for it. Drive the distance to get it. You will lo...

Re: FL14 False Bottom

Why don't you put the 9.9 on her and see what happens. You may luck out with little or no modifications to the bottom. Doesn't cost anything to try it.

Re: Steve's FS18

Steve,

How is your build coming along. Did you get the wiring sorted out?

I finally had my console lifted into the boat yesterday so my wiring and other hookups can proceed. You are welcome to have a look anytime you are down this way.

Re: FS17 in Steinhatchee

Just for clarification, the blue stuff is trevara. I also have pieces of trevara on the transom inside the right hand stern compartment which have been with white bilge paint. With trevara in these places I can screw straight to it and the screws have good bite. I mounted the fuse panel inside the c...
