Air temp 27 deg. With the help of a propane forced air heater. I was able to get the fiberglass temp up to 65 deg and the air inside the boat around 85 deg. I looked at that how to. Well i'll be putting the transom in first. The stringers are already removed. My plan is to get template of the transom then transfer that to a peice of 3/4 plywood. Once that peice fits good. I'll use that to make another one. Then laminate both peices together. My line of ...

Any idea what type of cloth i should use for tieing in the transom and stringers? I'm planning on ordering the 6 gallon marine epoxy kit and i would like to get most of my supplies in one shot. Also do the stringers just get epoxied to the fiberglass hull? Can the back of the stringer be epoxied to ...

Should i also had a layer of glass between the 2 sheets of plywood? If so what type? Also when installing the new transom to the outer skin should it be just a thicken epoxy or should a layer of glass be added bewteen the outer fiberglass skin and the new transom wood? I'm hoping to get the new tran...

I was going to use the screws to draw the 2 peices of 3/4 together after appling the epoxy. I guess i could use a couple of 2x4's and some clamps

It's i/o drive. The transome will be 2 inches thick (wood and fiberglass). I'll have to get the actually measurements later this week. Here a few other shots. The first one is before i styarted ripping out the transom ans stringers. I know the area under the engine is also 1/4 thick of fiberglass on...
