System Three LPU on plastic hatch?

Hi, all. Quick question, please. I've got a plastic hatch that has some stains on it. The hatch is on a big box that I just painted with S3. It occurred to me to paint the stained panel with leftover S3 to match the box. Do you imagine (or know if) S3 will stick to hatch plastic well? It would be ni...

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

Whoa, hang on. Does the price of a gallon of EMC not include the catalyst/activator component for the gallon? If so, that is pricey.

Looks like System Three Orcas White for me.

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

I didn't take it as a suggestion for me, just discussion of the product.

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

Yup, that's pretty much as I imagined it going.

Thank you very much for chiming in. Maybe I'll post a picture* when I'm done.

Best to all.

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

Thank you very much for bringing the EMC to my attention. I haven't been around for a few years and didn't know about it. Would anyone care to hazard a guess at 1) whether the old paint & primer is a good enough base for adhesion and 2) how much paint a 2004 Suburban is going to need for a few coats?

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

Thanks, Tony.

I was just leaning towards the topside paint thinking 1) I'm familiar with it and 2) it may last a bit longer. If both of those are valid, then I don't mind the slightly greater expense of the paint.

Re: Strange question: topside on a truck?

Thanks, Jeff. I was worried it might be a bit rubbery and prone to tearing. Sounds like what I want.

Strange question: topside on a truck?

Hi, all. I will appreciate your humoring a strange question and giving me straight input on this. I've got an old Chevy truck that I'd like to keep for a while but don't want to put much money into. The old white paint is chipping off, and it occurred to me to roll and tip it with topside paint. I d...

Alternative panel core/backing - PVC tubing

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Many of the pangas around the world are built with decks that use a PVC grid as backing for rigidity, instead of plywood or a synthetic core. I just found this good picture of an example. http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u445/pescamexicana/Imemsa%2...
