I think the ds15 could make a fine little fishing boat that could fish 2 people all day. In the swamps, bayous, rivers and other small waters. I wouldnt use it on toledo bend but i dont fish it much any way. I would like to flatten both decks and leave them at the same height but raise the free boar...

That makes sense thank you for your reply. It is going very well i ended up cutting the panels at 15 7/8" so i could get the three in needed from a single sheet of plywood. i cut the bow and stern at 45 and spread the sides on 25 degrees. That gave a 41" beam and a 32" bottom with 11'6" from tip to ...

This question is not about any plans i have bought here ( i hope thats alright) i just wont to bounce a question off someone. I have gotten a little ample over the years and my piroque rides a little low in the water and dont have the room it use to. I am planning to build another with higher sides ...

Thank you for the imformation jeremy ; Im trying to get it to soak in more. I scuffed the skeg in the past that let some water in and caused the skeg to rot. Wouldnt that speed up the set time? I was thinking about using a high v resin and holding it at about 60 degrees for a day or so untill the skeg soaks up all it can then bring the temp back up so it can set. if that would work

Dory motor well

I think about building a bigger dory than i have now.(there addictive) About 18 foot with a 48" bottom and 62" or so inch beam. If i build a motor well for a 3 or 4 hp motor at about 5' from my transom in my bottom panel will i need to make a tunnel out the rear, or will the natural sweep and narrow...

i was watching a movie called u.s. marshals with tommy lee jones and wesley snipes. wel snipes was running from the law in a piroque with oars on it that allowed the rower to face the direction he is rowing . the oars are two piece and seam to be mounted on ball joints or something for articulation ...
