Thank you for the reply! I did glass with the 6" tape inside the bottom of boat, just did not glass the whole inside bottom, the flexing caused some wood checking and paint cracking. areas that had glass show little to no wear. Thought I read glassing the whole bottom inside was a option now ? using...

i see no way of building the gf12 for 500.00 i think i spent 300 just in wood and that was for marine fir. epoxy, tape, biax, primer , paint , i spent alot on sandpaper and other tools to build it also. mabey the other boat if used reg outdoor paint and didnt care about the finished look.

i was way short on tape also. i also used to much epoxy, primer and paint. if i had used a squeege sooner i would not of wasted that much epoxy as i did. i used the tape on almost every seam also. as far as the motor goes i got a real old 9.9 right b4 winter. with all the gear and 2 adults it almost...
