Jerry Jeff Walker also recorded it (much better than Buffett/Jackson) on Cowboy Boots and Bathing Suits. Was written by fellow Texan Guy Clark.

Joel,
I remembered your reply on "the other" forum about building the hull from wood and the insides/decks with foam. That is what has had me thinking.

At what size boat do you think the weight savings would start to add up with this method?

Plywood hull and foam interior

What are the thoughts of building the hull in the required plywood, but then the stringers, bulkheads, and decks out of a foam? I would think the plywood hull would give you a better puncture resistance than foam, but the foam insides would save you a good amount of weight.

He is buying it from a guide that won it in a tournament. The guide had no need for it, so the factory is shipping direct to him. I think it's pretty much a once in a lifetime deal.

You may be right. I pretty much have given up on the hidden tabs. Will epoxy & glass over the tabs. The sponsons themselves will be water tight, tho.

As much as it kills me to say so, Ken is right. The saltwater 90 Etec with the 20" shaft is model #E90DSL.
