Re: OD18 Opinions

Welcome to the forum. 1st you will enjoy and hate the building processes, but most of all you will enjoy the finished product immensely. I have the OD18 posted on the plans page. She is a very good all around boat. I built her with the original intention of going to ST Augustine or Crystal River coa...

Re: FL12 Build for Grandsons

2 gallons will be the way I go. Thank you both for your answers. Really getting "antsy" to start this project("bad case of bbvs"). I can"t help but think of you both and others when I take my boat out. Jacques for such a outstanding design and friendship/kinsmanship and you capeman for your friendsh...

FL12 Build for Grandsons

Hi everyone! Other than to read threads,I haven"t been on this site since I built my "OD 18" and finished it in 2005. Happy to say she is still going. I have painted it one time in the past 14 years. She has held up real well. Going to start a new build with my grandsons helping out. I purchased the...

Re: Aripeka Angler's FS-18

Your build is beautiful. The glasswork is impeccable as usual. That is going to be some "surprise". Of course, knowing you and the really good person you are, I'm not surprised. Capeman, I've read the book. It really is a great depiction of the way Florida was. Like ya'll, my wife and I are "Cracker...

Wanted to check up on CL. Guess inactivity has dumbed me down, but where can I find "bilge"? Thought it used to be on this page. John

Re: Coming soon to you. FS14LS

Haven't been on here often. Lots of other projects. Here at home, at mothers place, at daughters place, and with grandsons. Glad to hear Ken is better. Will keep him and his family in my daily prayers. Keeping you there to CL.

Re: Cooler recommendations

I've still got the Igloo's(2 of them I purchased for the OD 18 ten years ago. I have replaced the latches and hinges 1 time. Much cheaper than the higher priced models these days. John

Re: Building The Phantom 16

Will be watching your build with much interest "Nuts". I built an OD 18 over 10 years ago(it is the one pictured on the plans page.) I did not have any boat building experience either, but about 15 months later I launched it and many people have commented how good looking it is. As Tom and others ha...
