Re: Searched and Probably Covered Somewhere

OK I agree with that ... Also Tom Apples and Oranges are both fruits... You could really compare them if you wanted to....LOL Just a little humor...

Well thank you all for the help I will probably be in correspondence with the designer from here on out...

Thank you very much for all of your time.

Re: Searched and Probably Covered Somewhere

Thank you all for the support that I am receiving on this build. I am looking at Douglas Fir A grade Face B grade Core it has a max of 4 voids per sheet at max size of 1/8 of an inch... From what I am finding, that is the best I have found so far....I am continuously looking... I believe there is so...

Re: Searched and Probably Covered Somewhere

Yep, if you want it to last, the good wood in the long term will be less expensive, even it doesn't seem so when looking at that price *today*. Have you considered any of the designs offered here? :) I really like the "potential look" of the plan I had found... Do you think there is something bette...

At Lowe's I have found some quality Luan that is cabinet quality with exterior glue. No or few small knots. But better yet look in your area for marine fir. Spend the time o...

Re: Searched and Probably Covered Somewhere

It is possible to find ynderlayment of good enough quality for use in building a small boat displacement boat like the D4. If you look hard you may be able to find 5 ply. Some of it however, is complete garbage and is a waste of epoxy and time. Best bet: post a link here or even a picture of the wo...

Searched and Probably Covered Somewhere

However I see that alot of people are using woods from Lowes and Home Depot...If anyone has went to their sites... It seems like there is not the r...
