Really looking awesome, Joel. When the redfish comes up to whistle at the purty boat, just shove a Borski crab in his little mouth and hang on. Did you do any engineering studies on the carbon fiber supports for the poling platform, or just guestimate? I'm not even sure how one would project what th...

Gunnels add stiffness to the sheer, keep people back from the side of the boat for safety, sometimes just look good, more finished looking, someplace to mount a cleat or rod holder, probably more, but I'm hungry and supper is ready. Daddy I agree with the stiffness but around here we walk the gunne...

I don't think it actually swivels, does it? My impression is that you choose an angle in the bolt pattern, then bolt it down somewhat permanently. Is that not correct?

Be sure and call the folks at Ed's to see whether you have to go pick up your engine. I bought a 90 hp Yamaha from them in 2004 and was very pleased with price and service, but when I called last year to order a 15 they said they were no longer able to sell and ship out of state, a Yamaha rule, I be...

That is sweet Jacque no wonder Shine called her GulfStream. Like GK said that would handle the GL salmon seasons also. She looks like a very capable boat. A couple of 115/135/150's on her and we'll be all set to go. Tom Im thinking a single 225 or 250 with a kicker if needed. Fuel efficiency and ri...

... on our first test ride someone pulled out the port a pot to use it on the deck!!!! This is not an unusual solution. We chartered a guide on Mosquito Lagoon a couple of years back who was really under the weather, and brought along his porta-potti on his ActionCraft (flats boat) I recommended th...

Thanks for the good observations, Adam. Is your "ball valve" a seacock, or a check-valve? I'm considering one of the scupper valves with the housing and ball on the outside of the transom. After your post I'm reconsidering a bilge pump. A simple enough step. and might save disapointment over wet fee...
