I've got the plans for the GF16 and am investigating plywood etc. but a mate who is something of a boat expert suggests that the GF16 is perhaps the wrong choice of boat. I'm looking for a stable craft for fly fishing but he says the GF16 would not be stable enough to stand in and would be unsuitabl...

Thanks also Jeff for your input. I've discovered that shopping around is certainly producing price differences. Have fired off an email to the boatcraft guys and hopefully their quotes will be something a little more reasonable than one or two that have come back.

Thanks Mike for the prompt response. Have sent off emails to various marine ply suppliers. Price differences at this stage range from $480 to $1000. I'm from a little place called Colac, which is in Victoria and close to the great trout waters Lake Purrumbete, Lake Bullen Merri and the Hopkins River...
