Calling Cracker Larry

Cracker Larry, after I bought my plans for a D15 you had mentioned buying some wood together to save on shipping. Well, I'll be finally ready in about 2 weeks, if it hasn't been to long. Let me know.

Thanks, Lamar

Logging in

I've set my account to log me in when I open the forum. If I log off and return, I have to log back on. But if I just close the forum (without logging off) I'm logged on upon my return. Is that ok? Just close the site? Thanks. :?:

Hey Larry, I researched a lot of your posts, and knew you used to live in Thunderbolt. Your right, they ruined a great view of the ICW and small town flavor with the condos. Tubbies tank house lost a great view. Mr.Teeples closed his restaurant but still has the seafood store. I used to deal with Pa...

Hi Dr.Bones, I'm a newbie here. I saved your website to my favorites. It's good to see someone else has gone the long route, that I'm going to have to take also. If I can "make" my next bonus at work, I should be able to order the wood and glass. I have my plans for a D-15. BTW, I have a lot of rela...

Best boat name I've seen is "The Last Straw". I bet his wife (ex?) named it.

I love this bar

Dang the luck, I have experience in all areas of fiber glass manufacturing and fab, right down to mixing the resins. (styren sucks and burns like hell) and used to live in Melbourne Beach, fla. I would be there in a heart beat. :(

I'm ready to commit to building a D-15. I have only 1 question.
The D-15 calls for 7 pieces of plywood. Is that with the thwarts only?

 Thanks again. Having a sailing background for the last twenty years, I should have known that! I suppose I was trying to make it harder than it was. I've been trying to learn all the terms around here I guess I have overkill. :D

Term for this kind of deck?

:?: It's beautiful. If I have the name, I should be able to search it out of the archives. I interested in how you build it. Below is the link to a picture of it. Thanks. Lamar.

Thank you for the replies. Daddy, I hadn't thought of the prop change as I bet it is a high thrust. The G 11 is a nice boat Chase. I have some more thinking to do now. Maybe build what I want, and up grade the motor later.
