Re: SK14 build question

It's heavy, it's at the limit. Some 8 HP weigh close to 100 lbs too. The ideal outboard is 50lbs, like a Suzuki 6HP but a lot depends on the other weights. If you are light, a heavy outboard is not a problem but if you are heavier, it may be. Nothing will break but the trim at slow speed maybe be ba...

Re: C19 versus C21 outboard question

I couldn't care less about how the boat is built. When I commit to buying a plan, it is because I have examined all available information about it and similar plans and deemed it the most appropriate for my needs. We will add information to the new website that is coming soon but to understand how ...

Re: OB15 (LS)

The puzzle joint is not structural. It is strong but since it will be covered with glass later, not a major consideration.
Try your heat gun trick. If it does not work, you may have to cut through the seams, grind the sides flat and re-assemble with a generous fiberglass splice.

Re: Preparing for GT27 build - questions

There is another explanation. First, the length of each edge is 308.8" which can be expressed as 25' 8-3/4". Close enough. I measured on the 3D model and 2D drawing, it is 308.8 for each edge and anyway, several boats were built and nobody mentioned the problem. I tried to guess what the mistake is ...

Re: C19 versus C21 outboard question

I am waiting for the new website to post more info but the plans are regularly updated. While there is a difference in weight between a 2 and 4 stroke, those two boats can each easily take a 4 stroke.

That's fine, I forgot that you planned for a bracket. Everything OK then.

Re: Eric's C21

Yes IF: - you keep the floor frame - the bench bulkhead is built to the same specs than the MW bulkhead you remove and has a deck. - the width of the motorwell must stay the same or you will not be able to turn and lift the outboard, the outboard cables and steering bars will not fit if you reduce t...

Re: CT 22 information

There is a PC22 in the Exumas but not a CT22, sorry.
We sold a good number of plans but I don't know about any boat completed. Only a small number of builders post on the forum.
