NC16 butt block question

I hope I didn't mess up. I got all my arts cut out for my NC16 and thought I had to prime the areas for the butt blocks with and then let them dry before I glued the butt blocks on. Searching the forum on another point about the NC16, it appears that I should have glued the butt blocks on with the w...

Should I use spreaders or two temporary molds like the one on page 227/2? Should I use 2 spreaders or three? If I use spreader a or battens wha...

Thanks to everyone for their input. I think I'll order the SD11 plans as soon as I get time to start a boat.

MadRus,

You're right-I meant the SD11-and the more I think on it it would be a better general purpose boat than the D12.

I have looked a lot at the V10. I noticed that according to the study plans, it's 20 lbs. heavier than the D12. As for construction, is the V hull much more difficult to build than the flat bottom? The bay area I'd most likely sail it in is very shallow. Would the V hull draw more water than the fla...

How easy is the D12 to build and sail?

I've pored over the forums and everthing else I could trying to figure out what would be the best design to start with. I want something that is a)very easy and relatively inexpensive to build; b)something I can lea...
