Re: Aquasport 22-2 new deck and hatches

Hey Rick, My so is now 21! Time flys. I didn’t see an email? Jim.wells@weitz.com. Was just going to add content there. More progress yesterday. We glassed wire chases to under side of deck. Also cut in 10x10 access hatches in area over fuel fill and fuel supply hose. http://gallery.bateau2.com/album...

Aquasport 22-2 new deck and hatches

Thought I would share a project my Son (and I by default) took on. A friend wanted to replace the deck in his 22-2. Boat has been in his family since early 80s so it has a lot of sentimental value. We decided to core the deck and bulkheads with 3/4" thick Airex t92.100. First thing we did was layup ...

Re: DAYTRIPs Bertram 28 Strech

Not sure on the pump size for the tubes. Minimum 1000 gph but likely a 2000. The sea chest will have two pumps. One feeding the live well and one feeding tubes.

Re: DAYTRIPs Bertram 28 Strech

Thanks Rick, the tubes are not super common but they are great way to keep the baits alive and lines separate. With the ability to fish two kites with 3 baits each it makes it tough to move without derigging or dumping them in the well and getting lines wrapped up.

Re: DAYTRIPs Bertram 28 Strech

It has been a while! Floors are in, all glassed with the exception of one small section. You can see the layout of the area under the console a bit better now. Had to do the step to keep the width of my gunnels. fourth image are the tuna tubes for the transom. This will make live baiting a lot easie...

Re: Mako 254 rebuild

Nice the foam came out like that. Are you going to put a deck in then put the cap on like a 3 piece or you trying to get it back to original 2-piece?

Re: Mako 254 rebuild

If you use epoxy and treat the penetrations right it will last forever.
