About a year and a half ago I started buiding a XF20 , inside hull is 90 percent glassed and outside hull is 75 percent glassed with one layer of 1708. I had the same problem with my xf20, make sure your frames are correct measurements and in the correct position. I think there was only one frame on mine that fit good all the others had gaps on the side and bottom. I plained a little off the bottom ends of the frames and pulled the sides in snug, f...

Stickystuff, didnt you install side scuppers in the xf20 you just finished ?

OK, i think i got it , can you give me any pointers on how to flip a 20' peice of wet cloth ? I'm thinking one giant mess, more on me than anything else. Thanks

Do you mean put the epoxy directly on the mat side then turn over and lay in place or do you mean a primer coat and then a wet coat over wood ? :doh:

I'm about to put down a layer of 1708 on inside of hull and was wondering the correct way, lay down over wet or can I lay down over dry coat ? :doh:

XF20 transum hieght

I am building a xf20 and need to no how high to make the transum. I plan on using a cnc jackplate and a 20" shaft engine. I dont have either right now so I'm stumped. please advise :doh:
