Re: Eastern NC SK-14

I like to over pore and then use my dads old framing hand saw to cut the tops off. It is stiff enough and long enough to reach across to the next stringer and leave me with a nice flat surface. Toss the off cuts in the next spot and off you go.

Re: Anyone Fishing?

Great videos BarraMan. I always enjoy seeing other parts of the world. It must have been hot there as I see everyone was all covered up.

Re: Nuts and bolts!

Unless you are lucky enough to have a great hardware store close by it pays to have extra stainless on hand. I hate to count the number of times I have had to drive 40 miles to get one nut or bolt.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

Jaysen I hope you figure in the ongoing cost of keeping a boat in the water. I have no idea about costs in your area but all in it would be around $1000 a month for me. That is why I have not launched a larger boat in a few years.

I say slap that 18 on her and then have somebody shoot a video. Sort of the old "hold my beer and watch this" deal

Good luck with your mother. Mine is 89 also so we are dealing with much the same issues. All I know for sure is getting old is not for wimps.

Re: Anyone Fishing?

With that much water on deck did you notice the boat trying to become unstable or trying to roll over on you? That is the reason I like LARGE scuppers/freeing ports no matter how big of pumps I might have.
