I hope this helps others also  This is just another example of what you get here that wi...

Re: Why use Silvertip Epoxy?

Can anyone state, in plain language, what makes the high end epoxies better? I am thinking something like X is 10% stronger than Y. Or X will stand 10% more deflection than Y before failure. Fallguy says Marine Epoxies HDT is too low. I hate abbreviations and needing to remember what they mean.

You are a lucky man to have a wife who is involved in the project. To me the best part of the build is when you get the stitching done. Boom, all those cut out parts suddenly look like a boat :D

Re: Why use Silvertip Epoxy?

I have used a bunch of different epoxies. I like the Marine Epoxy as well as any of them. The fast hardner will blush so you have to look out for it. If you use the slow I understand it will not blush. The Silvertip is great as you can go straight to Easy Fair with no wait. I was digging around in t...

Looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Re: Fuel Tank For My XF20>

The portable plastic tanks last 10 years or more being outside and abused. I would think a tank out of the weather and not getting knocked around would last much longer.
