Re: RB16 just orderd :-)

Jon, takk for infoen! Har vurdert Nes sledeverksted selv, men når man bor i nordnorge blir det fort dyrt. Kjekt å vite at det finnes alternativer! Jon, thanks for the info! I have considered Nes Sledeverksted myself, but since I live in the northern parts of Norway, the freight costs is rather high....

Re: MM21 details

Yup, and that explains why Norwegian men NEVER can be accused of being "whipped". Especially with women from the northern parts: Three guys got married, one with a girl from the southern parts of the country, one with a girl from the western areas and one girl from the north. They agreed to "set the...

Re: MM21 details

Thanks a bunch, Evan! That cleared up a lot for me, and the screenshots actually give me quite a good idea on the layout and shape of the boat. :) Looks like the MT24 will be the winner for me (more of what I am looking for in a boat, more correct size for what I want), but I agree: the MM21 is a ve...

Re: MM21 details

I'm bumping this thread and at the same time: I also am considering the MT24 (with OB option). Both Maia's are very interesting to me, especially the low price tag on a 9.9 yammie compared to a 115 for the P21 (even a 90 is expeeeeeensive). No older engines for me; I bought a brand new 40 4-stroke y...

MM21 details

I bought the P21 and OB19 plans some years back, but things do change... So now, I am considering the MM21. It will be a bit cheaper to build, and requires a far cheaper engine. I will save about 100.000 NOK (about 20.000 USD)! But some questions have risen: 1. Is the hull covered in biax, or just w...

You are welcome, Jacques. :) That's the only DIY mindset that actually works, in my experience.

Re: Justin's P19

Just jam a 2x4 crosspiece in there and add some triangles on each side (horizontally), and you should be fine. Use 12cm screws for the 2x4; you'll get a good grip then. After the triangles are in place, you can cut safely without anything moving. Perhaps not a bad idea to screw down a piece of ply a...

Re: Harbor Master 19 preliminary questions and dimensions

A for garage height issues: make a cradle on wheels that sits reeeeaaaally low. Move the boat from the trailer over to the cradle, and push / winch it inside. This is exactly what I'm considering to do once I have the garage built (and the garage is being planned based on how much space a P21 will n...

Re: P21 options/alterations

Sorry for the OT post, but I think I need to insulate the heck out of the boat... http://fagerjord.org/images/boatstuff/smokeonthewater.jpg -15 degrees (5 fahrenheit) and westerly winds equals a very cold day here in the North. I live well above the arctic circle, but thanks to the golf stream we (u...

Re: P21 options/alterations

There we go! Certainly a very good way to go, and in line with what I was aiming for! No need for gymnastics with that kind of entry point! :) Jacques: thanks for the input! Fantastic help for a novice! If my idea is hard to do, I won't attempt it. This is what I had in mind, sort of: http://fagerjo...
