Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)

Ok it's been a long time since I have posted, but I have managed to get a fair amount of work done over the last 3 or 4 months. Below are photos for the interior lighting. In some new posts I will add photos of some modifications to the center console, and the hatch and latch work. I also made a lot...

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat

I often times cover my C claps with masking tape on the ends. For the wood clamps, like the Jorgensen Wood Clamps, I sometimes cover 80% or so of the whole clamp. Casey I think on your 18 build I saw that done. It seems to do the trick. Another spot I sometimes cover on the C claps are the threads....

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat

Isn't that the truth! Just a few days ago I found a whole mess of it on my bandsaw base. The clamps must have a combined 1/2 gallon on them.

Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)

Very cool, I really like those. I'm experienced wood worker at all but, like you, enjoy fooling with the wood more than the epoxy. Dougster Man this build is full of custom features! That is going to be one nice boat! Thanks guys! Credit to Cape Man. The only tweak I made was setting it at a slight...

Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)

Yep Cape Man gets full credit. I saved his pic on my thread months ago to not forget his genius skills. Casey Those plates look familiar 8) You will like them. Nothing to catch a toe or anything else. I am setting this right here so I don't forget. I made a "box" in the corners of my OD18 for the sc...

Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)

Here is the progress of the plates. You can see the finger slot for opening the handle. Works like a champ. I keep running out of woodworking stuff to do and finding myself needing to mess with epoxy. I prefer the woodworking over the epoxy. :? http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/15720/normal...

I really like the way that turned out too!
Thanks guys! I am getting ready to post some more pics of both plates. They came together very well I believe.
