So my wife is going to make me some custom nice looking cushions for the lm18. Anybody know of what type materials are good for the cushion and the cover? Thanks

Re: Jack plate expert wanted!

I've got a Boston whaler where the previous owner used a jack plate to switch from a 20" outboard to a 135hp 25". The manual plate is set to its highest setting to pick up the height needed mounted in the stock holes in the transom and that part works fine. It only sets the motor back a couple of in...

Re: Hull support after flip?

I don't flip onto a trailer because I don't want the trailer to be in my way while doing interior. Also, the working height is determined by the trailer. Instead, I like to make a very simple "cradle" out of plywood and pipe insulation that retains the hull shape for after the flip. This is attached...

Re: The “Must haves” list

Plastic cups. Lots of them. I mix epoxy by volume, so I like the clear 18oz good quality.(Keg cups) Even for mixing small batches of epoxy it is nice to have a bit extra room to stir and the tongue depressors reach the bottom. I also add filler to epoxy in these cups since they are large enough and ...

Re: DE 24ish

Can I ask your anticipated GPH and speed with the 150 at cruise vs. wide open if you have had time to think about it? I haven't come across it for the DE yet that I have seen.

Re: Trailer question

I agree with the above about probably being the wrong trailer, but that one does seem like one heck of a deal. Doesn't say anything about the breaks in the add. Make sure it isn't frozen up. I also wouldn't plan on removing an axle. What is your intended use? Are you towing to the end of the street ...

Re: Nice C17 article in Small Boats Monthly

My wife and daughter are both working on paddle boards too, so we have some projects to finish up before the next boat project can be taken on...good problems to have. So many good designs, but too little time. I also have in my mind that one day in the not too distant future, I would like to do so...

Re: Nice C17 article in Small Boats Monthly

Seeing Tim (Wobbly Legs) C17 is what first got me really interested in the design. He did a great job and as far as I know really proved the design. I'm sure his build helped to sell a couple sets of C17 plans. Speaking of really interested in the design, Any more thoughts of the big runabout? Woul...
