Has anyone extended the fs14 ls to at least 15'? I like the boat but would like it at least 15'-16'.

I'm having some trouble finding the building materials locally. My local supplier says his distributor doesn't know what Meranti BS1088 is. Is this common? Or should I just buy it off the WWW. Just trying to give some business to the locals

Has anyone tried to build the boat normal(without sponsoons) to keep the storage in back, AND add sponsoons to add flotation to the rear? I was thinking this may help flotation for a higher hp motor and keep the boat trimmed well while at full speed with less load weight.
