Re: RB14 by Kyla (with a little help from dad)

Hi jtdums, nice looking boat :D 8) I did some research on adhesives/sealants for plexiglass since I am using the same class of material as you are. This type is especially formulated for plexi type windows and the one I will be using. UV treated too :D https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userporta...

Re: How to clean wax off of a mold

MEK is the only thing that I’ve seen that will pull fully cured automotive finish off a car and let you put that paint someplace else. At one point CL mentioned using it to thin epoxy. BTW, that stuff is extremely volatile. Extremely. As in “BOOM”. I love it.  Hi Jaysen...sounds like you...

No problem ! MEK is hard to source in Canada, you should have better luck getting the stuff at HD or Lowes.

Re: How to clean wax off of a mold

Hi Dutch1, MEK is an aggressive solvent used to remove wax off surfaces. Acetone evaporates too fast, lacquer thinner is suspect. Wear a respirator and gloves though, it is potent. Re: HM19 in Romania

...what Fuzz said ! Don't fret over the flip. It may look daunting it this stage but believe the guys here...it is not a big deal. I spent way too much time worrying and when the time came, I said "that was it" ?? :D  It is light, strong and easy to do with a few helpers.

Re: HM19 in Romania

Hi BogdanFerariu, If you want / need my plans for your baby, let me know. I have sent copies to Justin Dwyer for his P19 last year for him to have a starting point. At least you will have some dimensions to work with even if the boats are different. They are fairly detailed and were invaluable to bu...

Some of us noobs need to see how it is done "right" frequently so it will make it past the dense, dead, outer brain cells and down into the "un-alcholoed" brain cells.

The slow guy, me, needs you to explain the template in pic1. Please.
  Funny Jaysen. That cracked me up !
