Re: Adelie16 from a land down under

Does that mean it floats off the trailer already in knee deep water ? Yes, it does. By the way that looks like a beautiful location with the mountains in the background, is it an inland lake? tell us more about the location. Re: Adelie16 from a land down under

Hi Karl, I designed it that way from the start. I had a sailing boat many years ago that used a winch I liked the control it gave me when setting how deep in the water it was, I decided to do the same with my AD16. It takes up a tiny amount of space and I am happy I did. The question is will the los...

Re: Keel of Adelie 16

G,day Jbro, I think now I understand your question :D the CB does not go all the way down as in "vertical" If it did it would rip itself out by the pin with the force of water pressure against it. It is only designed to go as far as when the front end of the CB touches the front end of the CB case. ...

Re: Keel of Adelie 16

G,day Jbro, All sailing boats suffer from side ways drift, unless sailing with the wind. If you don't lower the CB all the way this will increase side ways drift and you will have to tack more often especially when the wind is on your beam. If the CB is half way up you will have less drag and a slig...
