The OB21 is a good choice for what you want to do. I plan to build the AB 23 to fish the rigs in Louisiana. I intend to scale up by 10% and build with a full transom, bracket or porta bracket, and single 300hp.

I have owned Lowrance and now a Simrad unit for my boats. I have a handheld Garmin unit that I use when deer hunting on wildlife management areas. The Garmin is the most user friendly of the bunch. I spent time yesterday installing a Rhodan trolling motor. Removal of the motor is simple by pulling a pin and unplugging. I should be ready to hit the water soon.

The new G2 115 and 150 will share the same block and weight. Depending on the price difference it may be worth getting the 150 and operating the boat conservatively.
