Re: Cvincent's PH18

I managed to get the back deck glued in place last weekend. I began fitting the front decks yesterday evening. I probably should have routed a 1/8" groove in the deck for the hatch gutter flanges to sit flush. Sometimes I do things the hard way. Just a few pictures of my progress: http://gallery.bat...

Re: Eric's C21

Eric,

Your boat is looking great. I did not realize how big your boat is until I saw the picture with your brother standing next to the hull.

Re: Cvincent's PH18

All three back hatches were clamped and glued with epoxy from the topside of the deck. I glassed the bottom of my decks with 10oz plain weave and glassed in the gutters from underneath. A pvc spigot will be glassed to the back corner of the gutters which will be drained directly into the motor well....

Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)

Casey, I purchased the same type of black hose you have. I have only used one section of hose at this point to connect a drain in my center console seat compartment. Re: Transom repair question

Looking good. Just an idea, could you clamp a piece of melamine board on the transom as a mold and laminate 1708 on the inside. Then Glue in you Meranti core from inside. When done pop the melanin board off.

Re: Cvincent's PH18

I started fitting the back deck and installing gutters for the hatches. I also glued down the center console with gelmatic and taped the outside flange. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/88547/Back_Deck.jpg http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/88547/Hatches_1.jpg http://gallery.bateau...

Re: Mike's (Seaslugs) SK14 Launch

Thank you Seaslug. I plan to try the paint and anti-skid method. I heard paint with non-skid additives is really easy to keep clean.

I just caught up on your build. This is a beautiful boat and you put it together quickly. I hope you post pictures when the boat is painted and finished.
