Thanks. I'll try warming it up. My garage is also around 75. Will report back.

Re: pigment problem

Jacques,
I have no idea. It says nothing on the jar except for a hand written 4oz tan. The ordering page says "various suppliers."

pigment problem

Hi all,
Bought some pigment (tan) from BBC. I need some advice. It's so stiff that stirring it in epoxy for several minutes did not disperse it at all. It just stays in one clump. Am I supposed to use s solvent? What's the trick? Help.

white paint over gray primer

Hi all,
Will be ready to start on primer soon. From what I've read, I'm leaning towards s3 primer and sterling paint. Question is, can I do white or off whites on the gray primer? Is this a good plan for both outside and inside the boat?
Thanks, Vince.

Re: Vince's P19

Tried to post some pictures but "cannot determine size of image problem"... Maybe it's too big? Will investigate later.

Re: Splicing panels on P19

Thanks Jacques. Maybe I should ask just 1 question at a time...
What do you think of my 6 oz tape? See post from yesterday 4:47. Thanks

Vince's P19

Hi all, Started building a P19 2 weeks ago. Will be updating you guys with my progress. Clearly lots of good experience on the forum - hope you guys will keep me out of trouble. I had help from my father in law on the first weekend - they were in town to visit - we were able to set up the whole jig....

Re: Splicing panels on P19

Oh and what about the bottom panels? 1 or 2 layers? I assume if 1 layer on the side panels was sufficient in principle (other than the fairing problem) that 1 layer is sufficient on the bottom panel. Then again, there is no glued overlap on the bottom like on the sides...
