You don't need 3/4" for the wheel and throttle. 3/8" okume is some solid stuff.
Especially with fiberglass on both sides. :D

Re: Balancing Design Layout

You have three theoretical points you are dealing with. 1st is CG = theoretical point the boat weight acts through. COB= center of buoyancy which is point the buoyancy of the boat acts at rest. Then the last is COL=center of lift which is the point the lift from moving acts through. Ideally the all...

Re: Wouter's PH18 Namibia

Nice fishing Wouter. I also noticed getting caught up on what you had been up to that you were having prop problems. I did a rough calculation for you based on your PH18 leaving the dock weighing 2300 lbs. all in, 2 men, fuel, gear and all wiring and electrical and mechanical gear, plus that nice Su...

Re: OB21 possible?

I wouldn't worry about the width. It is very wide as is and you might lose 4" at most but you can make the upper deck slightly as, if I remember correctly they are 12" wide, An 8-10 might even look better.

Re: Scupper questions/opinions

I really prefer scuppers out the transom. I have an OD18 with them out the side and they are not as efficient as transom scuppersThey are only 1" while transom scuppers can be 5-9" wide. See https://shop.hamiltonmarine.com/inet/st ... 5D=scupper

Re: OD18 Opinions

I have CL's OD18 up here in the mountains of NC and am enjoying her. He did take her everywhere. For about the same amount of time you could build the FS19 which CL would have liked. But the OD works fine for me.
