Re: GF16 Kansas build

I use a hand sieve on the mix right out of the bag/can. Dump the bag a bit at a time into the sieve over a coffee can. Press the clumps though. Put top on can. Shake. Dump can into new bag. Repeat until all the stuff is mixed. Eventually I stopped doing the whole bag and only what I needed. Then I j...

Thanks GB. Waiting for a contact from the broker that listed it. Mrs wants to visit before we decide. I’m glad she’s not like me in the impulsive decision making.

Cape Man do the fish cops ever stop you to see what you are doing? That seems a slick way to do it if you are just out to fill the freezer
I sure would have been nice if my "job" had involved trips like that 8)
I thought he WAS the fish cop...

And I just sent the broker a query. My wife simultaneously loves and hates you.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

Just to be clear, I’m not doubting anything, I’m just making sure I really understand. Unlike what I’m hearing here, you have the same schedule as everyone else. Haul, clean, inspect, repair if needed, touch up antifoul/paint, get back to enjoying. I’ve been told locally that the woodie maintenance ...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

The bright work downs scare me. It’s under the waterline and the worm issue everyone talks about. Makes me worry that having a woodie down here would wind up being months not in the water every year.

The Great one is wood hull, yes? What’s your haulout schedule?

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

That boat seems familiar. I think it’s been listed/sold in the last 5yr or so. That said it fits my program EXCEPT... how do I feel about wooden hull in the semi-tropics to tropics?

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Seems I have hijacked your thread, sorry Boogie. Karl we have lots of moose here. They go where ever and when ever they want to. I see them in my yard pretty often and see their tracks in the yard almost every day. For the most part they are no problem but every now and again one of them is having ...

Re: 12-foot clinker sailing dinghy with an inboard auxiliary!

My guess is the noise is amplified by he hull and seems louder than it really is. Also that’s metal on metal so it more likely the shaft coupling or mount flex than engine run noise.

But hard to tell from here.
