Re: Port A XF 20

When you think it is good enough and are sick of sanding and fairing and want to move on then you probably have one more coat or two to do. Finally, when you get to the “Aw Hell No” stage where you feel like you are now making it worse then it was before the last coat, it is time to move on to prim...

Re: Marine epoxy part A settle out

I had an issue where I left my epoxy in the garage and it clogged up the pump and made the epoxy milky from the freezes we had last year. I took it inside and placed the jug in the sink and filled the sink up with hot water. When the water cooled off, I drained the sink and filled it back up again w...

Re: Steve's FS18

Thanks for the information everyone!

It's supposed to be warm this weekend so I'm going to hit it pretty hard and see what I can get done.

Ken, I'm glad to be back at it!

Re: Steve's FS18

I need some advice on the hardware for the hatches. Are there some brands/types I should avoid? I'm finding everything from $5 chrome hinges at Academy to $65 a set for the nice shiny stuff. I just want a dang hinge that won't mess up for several years. Same thing for the latches. Locking or not. To...

Re: FS18 "Flats Bottom Girl" - Team Above Avg

Looks great!

The plans only call for one layer of 12oz which wraps the side about 5 inches up and that is what's in the kit. You will have to buy more 12oz if you haven't already to cover the inside.

Thank you! I used an 8 gallon air compressor with a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight. The only thing I will add before I use it again is a moisture filter/canister in the line.
Nice!
What was the stuff (product) you sprayed (missed that)?
The inside is Awlgrip ice blue.
