Re: Plyak 12 build for Coastal Wildscapes

Richard, I will probably end up using almost two gallons of flotation foam to fill all of these compartments and underneath the sole. The sympathy towards the shingles is appreciated. It is extremely painful and my skin is so sensitive right now I can’t stand having anything touch it. It is also sta...

Re: Plyak 12 build for Coastal Wildscapes

Yesterday I started piecing together a couple of pieces of plywood to make a sole for the hatch, an option on the plans. Used the extra epoxy to coat the glue cleats and remaining parts of the kayak interior that had not already been coated. This morning I took advantage of a sleepless night due to ...

I didn’t want to screw them on temporarily because of all the holes I would have had to fill. Luckily I had just bought a new roll of wider masking...

Re: OD18 - NH

Very nice!.. You won’t be sorry taking the time to get the console exactly right and made to measure. When you are using the boat and everything is where your arms and hands naturally fall you will find it extremely comfortable to drive the boat which adds considerably to the enjoyment of using it. ...

Finished filleting and taping the frames in yesterday afternoon and this morning I measured, cut, dry fit and started installing the glue cleats for the deck and sole.

Re: Eric's C21

Looking good Eric, the boat and the new smoker. Really glad to see you back at it. Unfortunately, all of my projects have come with a deadline. The current one has really got me worried about whether I’ll make it or not. Headed to Harbor Fieght tomorrow to get a new random orbital sander as I someho...
