Yes. I'm thinking the 14 will be more portable. Would be better if I could launch it with a dolly or cart.

Just seems like a 16' skiff would be easier all around. Im okay with two people. Will be a fishing boat for the tributaries of the Chesapeake. Im looking for something that replicates the Fin and Feather skiff if anyone is familiar with that model.
Im thinking about an fs18. But really want it 16'. Can this plan be easily shortened like that? I thought about the swift canoe which looks very similar, but the hp rating is disappointing.

Is wood flour the best product to use to thicken Marinepoxy to make fillets? Is there a better product? Is there a general rule of thumb of how much wood flour is needed for linear feet of fillets?
