Re: No Alaska shipping on new website?

I usually just email Jeff/Reed directly, they are prompt with returning an order and shipping quote.

I like knowing that it's a person checking my unique cercimunstances over an algorithm that may need correction after it during shipping and delaying things unnecessarily.

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

I'm in Georgia now, Fort Lauterdale by Friday, be home in a couple weeks and I'll be able to open it up. All I know is from the website, https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/gauges-and-controls/steering/big-tiller/ Which says, Compatible with full range of Mercury outboards. 40 to 250 horsepower engi...

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

Last big purchase done. Bought the motor today.

60hp Mercury Command Thrust
Bad thing was they only had then boxed with the "big tiller" and wouldn't sell without. Said their next shipment of motors isnt till August.

So I will have a big tiller kit for sale if anyone wants/needs one.

Re: Row 13 build

The rubrail is to add stiffness to keep the sides from flexing. Your issue is only where the breasthook (I think that's the term) which adds all the stiffness you need right there anyways. Cut off the bad part and sand it down and reattach, just like fuzz said. That's my 2bits from a non designer :)...

Re: Woods Skoota 32DM

I imagine a fantasy in my head that looking at your boat you couldnt even tell there was a life raft/tender there, it matches and fits so perfectly with your boat.

Re: Woods Skoota 32DM

Have you asked woods about designing a tender/liferaft that fits perfectly between your hulls and is sized for your crew and easily accessible as a tender for frequent use?

Seems he could easily sell them as add on plans.

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

being an A&P I would probably want to use solid rivets wherever I could, mostly because I can, not because there is anything really wrong with the pull stem rivets they are designed for. I was building a Bearhawk from plans and built most of the parts needed to assemble wings before I stopped. I've...

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

Sorry about your floor and pipe, sounds frustrating :( I used Rustoleum RockSolid garage floor tinted epoxy in our basement because I was worried about water damage to any new flooring we might put in. We did the two colors of slate grey and light grey applied with a two sided roller in Z and M patt...
