Re: More silly Plyak questions (eek)

For both of my boats, HC14 canoe and Fast Skiff FS17, the panels were joined with fiberglass joints, no scarfs or buttblocks. Like I said before I am hesitant to say what the designer would prefer for this design, but it seems like unless he specifies buttblocks that fiberglass splices are really st...

Re: More silly Plyak questions (eek)

There are different ways to join panels, I don't know which is recommended for this situation...... As for epoxy.. why don't you just buy the epoxy here from the same company you bought the plans from? It is cheaper and you know it has the properties needed for a good project. http://boatbuildercent...

Re: The price of building in your wife's dining room

Fallguy,
We have never set hot pans on our counters either, so I didn't worry about it.
There is a solution they use though. Some people embed a row of metal rods in a pattern in the epoxy next to the stove to place hot pans on.

Re: The price of building in your wife's dining room

Mixed coffee and silver for the highlights and think we like it even better than the brass. Got a lot of lint in it rolli...

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

The DASH (Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension) weight loss plan coupled with bike riding and weight machine circuit training is what I’ve been doing. Pretty much cut out processed foods, sugary drinks, bread, and salt. Lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meats like fish, skinless chicken breasts....
