Re: HC14 dimensions on plans

I printed the drawn panels and glued a carton model together.

The dimension should be 354, because this does not work.
The upper panel is now connected with topside below, inverted.
Just measuring the drawing gives about that dimension as well.

Re: HC14 dimensions on plans

Thanks for the quick reply (@narfi) I'll try the 25mm (1") camber on the top panel then. Guess the dimensions are not that different after bending the plywood. If it does not fit nicely I can always make it fit ! Just for who want's to know, I'll scale up the HC 15, so it comes in between the HC14 a...

Re: LB22 Nina - Outboard choice

Your plan to modify the rear bulkhead can work, but it is difficult to get adjusted correctly on the jig. I would build per plans, leaving that bulkhead vertical, with a cushion on it for the backrest you prefer. If you must slope it, I'd do it after the boat has been flipped, leave all structures ...

Re: LB22 Nina - Outboard choice

Yes I bought the plans. If you can give me the LCB (and tell me what is included with the weight) that would be great, I can then play around with the interior design. I haven't started the hull yet, so I have some time.... I do not want to move the engine, but will install a smaller engine (8-10 hp...

Re: Free Canoe - Modified built

Thanks for the complement Jeff ! I learned a lot already. Had some serious problem completing the bow, which is still crooked and requires additional epoxy and grinding to correct. I choose to leave the bow section and last 300 mm of longitudinal fillets on assembly and since the cutting of the pane...

Re: LB22 Nina - Outboard choice

I would like to alter various parts of the interior design of the boat as well. - Move fuel tank - Move steer location and helmsman location - Use smaller engine (lighter) Can you advise me for a proper trim where the center of gravity has to be (range in mm from stern) when only the standard frames...
