Re: Eric's C21

Looking at the pictures which can be deceptive, it looks like the tank has to go in before the longitudinal battens as it won’t fit afterward. Is the plan to fully install the tank before completing the woodwork?

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

The boat looks great. The looming cold weather certainly adds to the planning if you’re building outside. It will be nice being tucked up in the warm building the hatches over winter though.

Re: Eric's C21

Looks great. Interested to see how the hot glue works on these. I had a few issues getting them to stay in place as their as slick as can be when covered in glue. I didn’t want to clamp mine to tightly to avoid squeezing out all the epoxy. I was trying to get them exactly level with the top of the s...

Re: Eric's C21

Looks great. Amazing how long it takes to cut all the cleats and coat them. It took me ages to do mine.

Re: FS19 New England build

Hi, I’m just north of you in Hew Hampshire and have no problem working through the winter. I have a space heater like others but also a couple of oil filled radiators that work great under the boat when it’s upside down. Good luck with the build.

Re: OD18 - NH

This weekend has been a little frantic with my wife having surgery and the usual work stuff. Working on the boat has helped relieve some of the stress. I cut out the last panel and fitted it around the chase tubes. You can now see the outline of the bilge and scupper. https://forums.bateau2.com/app....

Wow Alan, That looks really nice!
You kinda answered a question I've had on my mind. I wasn't sure about installing my cleats before fitting my gas tanks.
Hi Eric, mine may be different to yours as my gas tank is under the casting deck and not under the sole.

Re: OD18 - NH

Looking good, but I am worried about your sole panels not ending on frames. Maybe it is ok, but I know recently we saw someone on here have issues with gunwale decks separating because their individual panels didnt end on anything solid, I imagine anywhere you will be walking (the sole) would be ev...

Re: OD18 - NH

Spent the weekend trimming the sole panels and measuring and cutting holes for the chase tubes. Plotting the hole location wasn't hard but took a long time. I made butt blocks from some scrap to join the panels in areas that aren't supported. https://forums.bateau2.com/app.php/gallery/image/5474/med...
