Re: The “Must haves” list

Somebody probably has listed it. The life saver to me was a big box store 3M respirator. Take care of yourself around the tools and materials. Safety first. The rest will fall into place. Build on!

Re: XF 20 flats boat

To answer your question there is a lot of free form to build the bulk heads . I am going to build pattern...

Re: Port A XF 20

All stringers and transom knees now taped in. Not quite finished with the taping because I ran thru all the epoxy I had. Time to go back to my supplier. Hate to keep adding to my list of addictions but I guess is the nature of this beast called boat building. Happy Father’s Day to all

Re: Port A XF 20

Next 2 stringers/transom knees set this morning. Plan on the next few days to get all the stringers taped in. Then will have to redirect towards moving to the “new” house. Probably be July or August before I get much more boat time

Re: Port A XF 20

Got the frames cut today. Started on stringers Set the first two glued to the tunnel. Between trailer loads to move will fillet and tape these two. Then place two more along with the transom knees. Still anxious to get past all the structural part and get to the part of putting the lip stick on the ...

Re: Questions on Laying Wide Cloth Solo

2 man job for me. Dougster rescued me for the second time. We did the fish side of the hull 8-10 weeks ago. 65 degrees? This past Tuesday 75-80 degrees. This is a 3 pass layup of 1708. The mother of all whores. Felt pretty cocky after the first 2 passes. Broke for lunch and nearly ate the weenie. Th...

Re: Port A XF 20

With the able assistance of Dougster the interior today was lamenated with 1708. Glad to have that behind. Stringers and transom knees then finally making “my” boat. Getting closer!
