Re: Port A XF 20

All stringers and transom knees now taped in. Not quite finished with the taping because I ran thru all the epoxy I had. Time to go back to my supplier. Hate to keep adding to my list of addictions but I guess is the nature of this beast called boat building. Happy Father’s Day to all

Re: Port A XF 20

Next 2 stringers/transom knees set this morning. Plan on the next few days to get all the stringers taped in. Then will have to redirect towards moving to the “new” house. Probably be July or August before I get much more boat time

Re: Questions on Laying Wide Cloth Solo

2 man job for me. Dougster rescued me for the second time. We did the fish side of the hull 8-10 weeks ago. 65 degrees? This past Tuesday 75-80 degrees. This is a 3 pass layup of 1708. The mother of all whores. Felt pretty cocky after the first 2 passes. Broke for lunch and nearly ate the weenie. Th...

Re: Build log of LM18 RC LS

Have been enjoying watching this. Next week I plan to put in the laminate of 1708 on the inside of my XF20. Then stringers snd finally get to decks and such. I need someone to tell me what material you folks are using for cleats, bracing etc. Pine? 1x2? 1x3? 2x4? Thanks all!

Re: Anyone Fishing?

Family wedding in Michigan 3 rd week of August. Want to do a fishing deal. Michigan is just a bit north and east of the state line here. Not much but still would appreciate advice and contacts. Wedding is in or near Grand Rapids. Float drift trip? Spark plug with stink bait? Guide recommendations an...
