Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

Hi Reid thank you. I will look at the other options. My concern with bringing the deck inside the rubrail is what to do with the gunnel. Do I follow suit all the way up to the bow? Or do I transition it somehow. This may be something I let rest until spring. Its just hard to not think about these th...

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

I have two more thoughts on this. If I glue on a ASH trim piece over the entire transom curve it would become close to 21" at center as it sits now at 20" do I have enough play with a Yamaha motor to make up for it? I see online there are 0.75" holes used as adjustments but i dont have a motor to lo...

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

So this project has been put aside for the winter but I did take a couple pics of an issue I am contemplating. The transom sides are just a whisper too low for the flat decking that will be installed up against it. Take a look at each edge where I placed the cut plywood to show where it would be ins...

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

Thanks guys... got lucky with minimal damage from the storm. Spent my Sat cleaning up and Sun I helped my elderly parents with some interior painting. Planning to cutout the rear deck for next weekend and then flip her upside down and put her away for the winter. Need my buddies and some beer for ex...

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

Here are a couple pics of boats that got loose from their mooring and landed on top of the path to the lighthouse in Salem, MA. Some poor soul will have to rig these back into the water and assess the damage! Quite a storm! https://forums.bateau2.com/app.php/gallery/image/5761/medium https://forums....

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

We we finally got our power back on this morning. :help: Been in the dark since Wednesday night. Our area got hit pretty hard with high winds 50mph to 90mph storm. Not a ton of rain but 30 trees knocked down power lines and most of the area was out of power. My tent flipped over again but fortunatel...

Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA

Well limited progress this weekend with my boys home from college, but was able to notch out the supports for the inwale and draw the lines on the front deck. That was really my goal anyhow so that I can bring the deck into my workshop to draw out the hatch then build on. Next step for me is to get ...
