FS19 Prop Choice

Looking for proactive advice before I start into the world of prop selection. I’m most likely going with a new Suzuki 90 and have a 25 inch transom. That’s the only dimension I did not shrink by 5%. I’ve built what I think should be a pretty standard weight boat (625 plan hull weight), no live wells...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

Dan Most horizontal surfaces I’ll probably just buff. Verticals will benefit from the wet sand. The surface is so reflective and rock hard even after curing only 2 days just a minor amount of smoothing should make a big difference. I’d be satisfied if I did nothing. Glad to get your input about the ...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

Paint application is complete except for hatch lids. One quart of Quantum99 (plus two pints of additives) covered entire boat above and inside rub rails (except sole) two or three coats. I don’t think I have enough left for last coat on the hatch lids so a 27 sq ft coverage spray can is on order. Gr...

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

Looking great! Landon and Last of the Breed, my first Louis L’Amor read. Spent the next 20 years exhausting his library, many hours while in deer stands in crunchy hardwood bottoms.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

Fitted the windshield on the console prior to removal then final couple of topcoats. Found that Danco neoprene faucet washers worked well for cushion spacers on the mounting screws. Shooting for Sunday/Monday for last painting sessions.

Re: Permanent Fuel Tanks

I installed a 22 gallon mueller plastic tank in the bow of my FS19 under construction at FS19 (-5%) in Ga under Power Boats. Compartment is not vented but vent from tank routed to exterior port side just below rub rail near bow. Fuel fill will be on port gunwale near bow. I have put a 6 gal portable...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

I’m seeing light at the end of the tunnel 🌅. White, black and stainless color scheme on the interior is coming together. Instruments are fitted into the dull sanded console. Won’t receive the EMC Quantum 99 top coat until mid next week. Wiring has been run thru hidden conduit fore and aft. Put a win...

Re: Ongoing C19 questions...

I sure don’t want the bracket but thanks for the offer Browndog . I did not realize you had that issue. I’m glad you resolved it and look forward to bolting my 90 Suzuki directly to the transom of my FS19 in a couple weeks.
