Re: Crabby Patti2 C17

OK; I am convinced to leave them. Might be a good way to overboard silt beer.

Re: Crabby Patti2 C17

Capeman et al; My scuppers are above waterline when the boat is at rest with no one on board. As soon as we moved the the back of the boat I had to plug the holes just as you did. I too have a Bolshevik pump under the motor well. I just don’t see what good they are doing if I need to plug them all t...

Re: Crabby Patti2 C17

First, thanks to everyone for the two years of reading I did on the forum. Would have made many more mistakes without the advice. Maiden voyage today. New 60 HP Mercury 4 stroke. 31 mph but using phone GPS so don’t know for sure. Two people. Did not track fuel usage. Some thoughts; the boat handling...

Re: Crabby Patti2 C17

Almost ready for water.. I am going to put on one coat of resin over all the raw wood then mount 60 hp mercury motor, controls and steering. Just the minimum to operate and see how it does in the water before I start final finish. Need to locate seats, and more importantly make sure it floats!

Re: Crabby Patti2 C17

I had not idea either. We are in the same boat so to speak. Be careful raising the roof. I was a bit surprised when I built it to spec and need to either stand or place the seat high to see over it. The only change I have made so far is increasing the cut-out space within the cabin. I left it open t...
