Re: Looking for advice

Thanks for the links guys, the 29’ Century is a great boat. Especially after they went bankrupt and reopened in Zephyrhills, Fl.
Fallguy, I like the Bertram hulls. A lot.
Still pondering.
I’m going to keep gathering intel and make a decision after vacation...

Re: Why use Silvertip Epoxy?

I’ve used marinepoxy, raka, silvertip and crapoxy by fgc. Except for the crapoxy, they all work great with no blush. The silvertip costs more but works the best. Especially when you are looking for a low viscosity and clean layup. Used silvertip on my strip canoe, very happy with the way it worked.....

Re: Fuel Tank For My XF20>

I got no quarrel with anyone in this thread. I was just giving you benefit of my experience with a smallish 13 gallon fuel tank in an XF20. The poly tank will hold up fine, good choice. I would hook up the fuel gauge, it’s easy. My xf is a gas hog, very heavy fuel burn. 70 hp two stroke. You most li...

Re: Looking for advice

The boat will be placed on a lift at the dock in my backyard. Would like to have a cruise of 30 knots and a top end of 50 knots. Not looking for a walk around or cabin boat. Center console fishing boat with twin motors. My wife wants better seating on our next boat with an enclosed head. This is the...

Re: Fuel Tank For My XF20>

I started out with the same sized tank in my XF20.
It wasn’t big enough, the range was less than 40 miles when the boat was loaded heavy.
I ended up putting a 50 under the bow deck.

Re: FS-18 - "Bare Bones"

Dang that is one nice looking boat :!: Thank you Fuzz. :D You should be down here right now. Beautiful weather! I can’t say that often, it’s usually way too hot here. I’d be happy to throw you the boat keys and the fishing shack is wide open. I just love the way that Bare Bones and Red Alert are ba...

Re: Need help about HDPE textured

My 15 year old starboard fish cleaning table at the fishing shack could probably have benefited from some 4200 sealant.
Definitely would not pass FDA hygiene standards.
