Don't use nylon thru hulls for anything they are junk :!: Use Marlon much stronger and ABYC rated.

That hull looked to be built from marine fir , it will soak a lot more epoxy .

Capt what do you mean no wet on wet with System 3 :?: You can go up to 72 hrs without sanding . I built pretty much
my whole boat that way and you get a stronger chemical bond and save a ton of time and effort not having to sand .

I have mine mounted right to the transom and have no problems . When sitting still or moving forward it really doesn't matter if the door swings out a 1/4 " . Wave action or backing slams it shut. The way Peter did it is beautiful and custom but not one person who has ever seen my boat said anything...
