Ever think about using MDO ply , ready to paint once glued in , no voids, waterproof glue.
I built my seat boxes with it and it worked out great for the last 6 years . Should work
better for you because not exposed to the elements . Can be hard to find though .

Put the jugs in hot water before you use it , the hotter it is the better it works.... within reason :wink:
