I think i am getting confused , i think he is talking about decks others are talking about the sole.
which one :?: To me it sounds like he wants to extend his front casting deck with wider wallk
around side decks .

Ever see the show wicked tuna :?: That would be the New england coast and most of the boats on the show work out of Gloucester harbor Mass. There is great cod , haddock , pollock, flounder , lobster " i had to throw lobsters in there" striper and many more . I lived in Mass for 48 years lots of good...

Just plan out for deck supports and use thinner ply. All decks on my boat are 3/8" ply with 1/2" backing plates for all cleats and rod holders . The only glass i used was 10 oz cloth for abrasion resistance. Do a search and look at how others have laid out their hatch and deck supports. It will also...

I ran mine out the back with scuppers from Hamilton marine like Tom said. I made them 2" x 6" so they will move a lot of water fast " don't ask how i know and it wasn't fun at the time" . One layer of 12 biaxe on each side of 3/8 ply is as strong or stronger than 1/2 ply. How big of a unsupported span
are you going to go :?: If you plan out your under deck support correctly you should not need 1/2" ply for decks.
