You will need them when you wash or hose down the boat. Even if you are careful there will be standing water
in the gutters.

For hull numbers go to a trophy store and have them engrave the hull numbers . I had mine done with UV stable
plastic and epoxied them to the hull , you could also use brass . I think i paid $10.00 for two.

J 24 's are a real competitive and fun boat. Raced against a bunch of them back in the day. You will learn a lot.

use packing tape on the frames anywhere there is a seam going over them .

Get a good respirator your going to need it , and a fan to blow the fumes away from you while you work.

I went with 2 layers of 3/8 " ply verses 3 layers of 1/4 " .
just made life easter.

Red loctite :!: I was just thinking of something Fuzz said about your thrust bearing. If you are using soft motor mounts is there a chance you are pulling the motor out of alignment when the e drive is engaged :?: I really don't think this is the issue just thinking out loud . This is how i did a drain in the cabin . Something similar to what you are thinking.
