Good luck on the crossing - man, without the drone view I'm not sure it is possible. Fingers crossed.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

I certainly understand weather patterns being an "amateur weatherman" and living in Florida, I have a good grasp on hurricanes. In the Northern Hemisphere the hurricanes (Lows) rotate counter clockwise - how do they rotate in the Southern Hemisphere? Barra - I can understand the "unpredictable trave...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

I think you have a few days up your sleeve, Michael. “Owen” has to cross the peninsula, reform in the Gulf, then head SE a fair way to get to you. Gonna beat up my favorite fishing spot (Port McArthur) before it gets down your way. http://www.fototime.com/B41F913B351D83B/standard.jpg We had dinner ...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

I have this anchor on my Cuddy boat - it's like a CQR but is made by Delta or at least was. Not sure if they are available anymore. It holds very well, digging deep, and holds unless I get a 180 change in wind and then it lifts and resets. I think I had that happen once. http://www.classicaquasport....

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

Looks like, from looking at the pics and the video, you guys need to re-nourish the beaches on the ocean side from the river side. Seems like an easy solution - hell, in Florida, we're perpetually re-nourishing our beaches. The video/pics shown here seem to show that the beaches on the outside are n...

They say it picks up the bottom 8 times the depth but here is a video:

That looks pretty awesome - set a depth alarm and bingo, you know when to drop an anchor or something to avoid the crash.

Re: DAYTRIPs Bertram 28 Strech

Yeah the scarfing will give you more area to tie into so the aft doesn't break off 8O

Re: DAYTRIPs Bertram 28 Strech

Looks really good DT!! I watched a stretch on another site (maybe iBoats) where the guy (I think from Canada) did it in Poly and his seemed much, much more involved than what you are doing in epoxy. He was spending weeks grinding and scarfing and... on and on. He got it done and it floated and perfo...
