Re: Fuel Fun

Temporarily extend the fuel line going to the motor so you can use it as a siphon. If you have water in the fuel you'll see it in the first bit you take out as it will settle to the bottom of the tank.

Re: ST21 'Skinnydip' build, and boating adventures, Noosa, Australia

Looking good. Is the deal on the plans similar to here? Build one boat only? With all the time you are taking in getting the stations perfect and now making MDF panels it would be a shame to not make, or let someone else make another. We built 3 cedar strip canoes off of one set of stations, and the...

Re: Cape Man's Dory

Our Spanish is S. maculatus, and our King is S. cavalla. S. commerson has a big global range, but not here.

And there's my early morning lesson for myself and others

Re: Cape Man's Dory

Yep...two different species with the same common name. Yours gets big like our king mackerel which has to be 24" to harvest and you can only keep 3 per person.

Re: Cape Man's Dory

12" and 15 per person! They are VERY populous. May be a different species. A 2.5" Spanish here would be a monster! Now I have to do some research.... 8)

Re: Cape Man's Dory

Salt, ground black pepper, ground garlic, and Everglades Heat. Started at 9:15 am. Not a lot once I started looking at them, especially for the 5 rack, 4'x8' smoker, but will make some yummy dip.

Re: Paint Removal

Sand. On the OD18 I originally used a two part epoxy paint designed for industrial uses, covered with a two part clear Uracell that they also sold. The clear coat is what yellowed and failed. This year I sanded everything down to the primer (and beyond in some places :help: ), refaired with quick fa...
