Cold weather and super fast epoxy.

I need to get some cold cure epoxy. Easy enough.

But I also need a 5 minute epoxy that is at high strength in like an hour.

Devcon is a failed company for problems. I have a couple tubes of it here I don't trust.

Any advice?

Re: 91 chawk 222 rebuild

Just sand it with 40-60 grit.

I'll see if I have a pic.

Re: 91 chawk 222 rebuild

I use 40 grit. 80 is a little slow. In order to go over the transom top; you need good radiuses. I preferred to wrap the top with the same glass to reduce fairing. But either way is fine. I wrapped both directions and my transom top is 8 layers of 1700db. Amine is a greasy feel. Almost never happens...

Re: 1979 19 ft Sea Ox rebuild

Also, you don't want the coosa pressing the hull. It would press on the outboard edge and cause trouble on the hull bottom.

Re: 1979 19 ft Sea Ox rebuild

Personally, I would template and cut the transom into the coosa you have and slide it back and fill in the front. Then shim up a bit more? No sure the hull gap. But you can also just piece it in and glue the coosa piece on with thickened resin real good as long as you are glassing it real good. You ...

For liability reasons, you won't be getting advice from me, but I am glad to see you taking on such a bold project. My neighbor has a Rutan ez something or other and he says he laminated something wrong years ago and quit for fear of catastrophic error or children or some such.

Re: Panga 25 Back on it!

Nice looking salmon! I thought those were getting hard to catch in the great lakes but it looks like not so much for you :D Your panga is looking great! They are harder to catch because they are no longer stocking them. The king salmon smashed the alewife populations and are not actively breeding m...
