Re: First Build Difficulty: GV13 vs OB15

Well, someone who's built the OB15 could talk about this better than I could, but it has some older design elements, like an interior batten that runs the length of the boat, either side and a partial sole. I'm not saying it's a bad boat at all, it's just that their newer designs seem to be a bit si...

Re: First Build Difficulty: GV13 vs OB15

I've built the GV13, no problems building or modifying it, but for what you're describing as your "program", have you considered the FS17 or FS14? Re: CV16 Caravelle - KS8 - more pictures added

Mmm... I have mixed feelings about the windfarm. I'm sure the bass will like it. I tried to suggest to them that they might have better luck by inducing the local artists to redesign those a**-ugly, industrial gray behemoths into something that will work, yet represent the interests of the aesthetic...

Re: CV16 Caravelle - KS8 - more pictures added

I have not, but I'm glad to see you're having some fun. She is stunning. I need a trailer for the PK, now that I've gotten rid of the truck. I miss it, I really miss sailing. But we did go for a nice cruise on Casco Bay with my wife's cousin this summer, a nice 40'er and quite a blustery day. It was...

Maybe thread a crayon in each one to keep the threads clean while epoxying.

Re: Merritt Island LB 22

Do you gain anything by simply removing the manufacturer's cowling? That might gain another inch or two. And on a 15" shaft, might make it just right.

Re: Plumbers project

Nice job Tuck. I'm sure this one will hold up a lot better than the first. No chainsaws on this one.

Re: Texas LB22

I just wanted to add a quick comment about some thoughts I have about this design. I too love this boat, but have my reservations about the use of a large motor and whether or not it will look like the illustrations when you finally get it closed in with a cover. My thoughts were also to go with the...
